My name is Ava Shvartsman, and I am a high schooler in Southern California. I created this blog to explore the social and cultural factors that affect medicine and healthcare, to spread awareness about these topics, and to learn from others who share my interests (so please reach out!). Rather than suggesting and creating solutions, my goal for this blog is to learn and explore these topics through various perspectives. Hopefully (one day), using what I learn from this blog, I can contribute to impactful solutions to alleviate the negative ways these social factors affect how people receive and access healthcare.
